Morbid Anatomy Museum Now an Official Non Profit! Morbid Anatomy Gala! News and Upcoming Events at Morbid Anatomy

We are beyond excited to announce that the Morbid Anatomy Museum has just received its official 501c3 non profit status! There is no better time to consider supporting our nascent institution.

Museums rarely, if ever, manage cover their costs by revenue alone, and the Morbid Anatomy Museum is no exception. In order to continue to producing our affordable programming and exhibitions, we need the support of our friends and community. If you appreciate what we do and are in a position to help, please consider becoming a member or making a fully tax deductible donation today. Donations can be made here, and you can become a member--with assorted perks such as discounted admissions and free museum entry by clicking here. To make membership more enticing, we have added perks such as as exclusive signed and numbered prints by artist Mark Dion; a private party at The Morbid Anatomy Museum; a special backstage tour of Philadelphia's incomparable Mütter Museum with curator Anna Dhody; and a limited edition archival photo print of the Child's Chapel in the Palermo Catacombs. More on all of that can be found here.

Another great way to support The Museum is by purchasing tickets for our first Annual Morbid Anatomy Museum Gala featuring honorary chair Chloë Sevigny, sponsored by Hendrick's Gin and Six Point Brewery! The event will include a catered meal and hors d'oeuvres by Runner and Stone; performance by magician and sideshow star Todd Robbins of "Play Dead" fame; phonograph music during the VIP cocktail hour by Mac of WFMU’s Ragged Antique Phonograph Program; auction items including an epic taxidermy tableau by "taxidermist to the stars" Emily Binard with a private taxidermy class as well as a behind the scenes golf cart tour of the Bronx Zoo; and floral arrangements by Emily Thompson flowers. You can find out more, and get tickets, here.

We also have scores of exciting other upcoming events, a full list of which follows. Hope to see you at one or more!
