We hope you'll join us this Friday, October 23rd for an opening party with curator Ryan Matthew Cohh, short talks by Morbid Anatomy creative director Joanna Ebenstein and authors Rebecca Messbarger and Betsy Bradley, arcane tunes by DJ Friese Undine, and a curated selection of thematic antique film clips courtesy of David Corey.

We've got a number of exciting new events including an evening of tarot reading, astrology, palmistry, and other divinatory mediums with Darcey Leonard and her team at Tarot Society (Monday, October 26th); a new iteration of Death Cafe, a safe and relaxed space to discuss all matters of life and death, led by Brooklyn funeral director and green burial advocate Amy Cunningham (Tuesday, November 3rd); a closer look at pathology in literature from Grimm fairytales to Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland with Mütter Museum curator Anna Dhody (Monday, November 9th); anda fascinating peek at anatomical atlases and the erotically charged aspects of depicting and viewing the human body in a time when medical science was subject to censorship (Thursday, November 12th).

We're thrilled to announce the Dilettanti Grand Tour, an exclusive look at the many strange and beautiful machines in the private collection of engineer and Tim Mullen at his Chelsea loft (Saturday, November 14th); the 10th anniversary celebration of American Sideshow with author Marc Hartzman (Friday, November 20th) DJ Andi Harriman reprises A Desire for Dramaticism, her popular lecture on the semiotics of 80s goth subculture (Monday, December 14th); and authors Naomi J. Williams and Robin Beth Schaer share their recent work and discuss the shipwrecks and mysterious encounters that haunt their writing (Tuesday, December 15th).

We hope you'll join us this week for Night Terrors, An Evening of reading with the Horror Writers Association (Tuesday, October 20th); an inquiry into end-of-life experiences and their role in helping us understand human consciousness(Thursday, October 22nd); and the grand opening party of our latest exhibition, House of Wax (Friday, October 23d).
