That's some remarkable illustration - especially the woman with the flayed back. Welcome to the blogosphere - I'm looking forward to reading your posts!
Earlier today, I bought a book called Human Anatomy: Depicting the Body from the Renaissance to Today, by Rifkin, Ackerman & Folkenberg, which contains a chapter about d'Agoty. And now, completely by chance, I've just stumbled on this blog (which is fantastic, by the way).
I've been looking for a book containing all the Gautier-d'Agoty illustrations from his "Myologie." Basically a reproduction of the entire book. If anyone comes across it, please post.
