This image is cited as "Death Masks From the Halle Collection" but I could find no verification of this. Nevertheless, fantastic image.

Great photo. I believe that the Halle Collection refers to the German city of Halle.

The site Undying Faces has a great collection of death masks. This photo from Shorpy shows a death mask being made. It's fascinating.
